Good Luck Restaurant Lounge: A New Concept from the Good People that brought us Totti’s

Set to open later this month, the arrival of Good Luck Restaurant Lounge is the kind of exciting food news that we live for. Executive Chef of Totti’s Bondi, Mike Eggert, and Merivale CEO Justin Hemmes, have been working on the concept for almost three years.

The basement of the historic Burns Philip & Co building on Bridge Street will be home to the new venture that aims to deliver on Avant Garde 1970s Tokyo vibes. Eggert’s final teaser for us? “Think Totti’s but then add soy, dashi, vinegar with fresh herbs, citrus and chilli”.

Definitely one for the next group dinner out.

Shell House Welcomes New Head Chef

Sydney institution Shell House has just announced the appointment of Brad Guest (ex-Oncore by Clare Smyth, ex-Sixpenny and ex-Cafe Paci) as the new Head Chef of the Dining Room and Terrace. If you’ve been looking for an excuse to book a return to this beloved Sydney restaurant, this is it.

Guest aims to continue developing Shell House’s impeccable reputation with an inaugural menu we’re smitten with. Think sourdough orecchiette with mushroom and almond, linguine with urchin, caviar and lemon and whole roasted flounder. Heaven!
